Frequently Asked Questions
How much does VBS cost?
VBS is completely free. Registration helps us plan meals, crafts, t-shirts, and small-group sizes.
What ages can attend?
Kindergarten through 6th grade — anyone from kids entering Kindergarten this fall through those who just completed 6th grade.
What are the dates and times?
Monday through Friday evenings, 6:00 PM – 8:30 PM. Check-in opens at 5:45 PM. Exact dates are listed on the home page.
Do I need to stay with my child?
Parents are welcome to stay but not required. Every child is assigned to a Crew with a trained Crew Leader, who walks with them between stations.
What about food allergies?
List all allergies on the registration form. Our kitchen team plans around them; you can also send a labeled meal from home if you'd prefer.
What does my child need to bring?
Nothing required — just comfortable clothes that can get a little messy. We'll send a packing reminder a few days before VBS starts. Be ready to get WET on Friday night!
How do I volunteer?
Fill out the volunteer sign-up form. We have roles for adults (18+) and youth helpers (12–17). Adult volunteers complete a background check and Safe Sanctuary training before VBS week.
Where is VBS held?
Lithia Springs Methodist Church. Check-in is in the Children's Building to the left of the church sanctuary.
What if my child has a friend who isn't a member of the church?
Bring them! VBS is for every child in the community. Just have their parents fill out a registration form.
Will photos be taken?
Yes — we take group photos and candid shots for church communications. There's a photo release checkbox on the registration form; if you opt out, we'll make sure your child isn't pictured.
